Lisa Bennett

Executive Director

Lisa Bennett has lived in Marin County for 29 years. She values grace, compassion, and agency for herself and all others.  Prior to becoming the Multicultural Center of Marin’s Executive Director, she served as Board Treasurer for six years.

In 2020 she was elected to the Sausalito Marin City School board and served as President in her final year.  She also serves on the Strategy Team for the Golden Gate Village Resident Council, working to achieve the demands of the residents of public housing.  For four years she was an Assembly Delegate to the state Democratic Party, serving on its Executive Board through 2024.  She is an owner of Driver’s Market, a small organic market in Sausalito which is proud to be a hub of the community.  Her husband Paul and son Ben are her biggest fans, and she is theirs.
