Gerardo Garcia is a Sonoma County native who received their BA in Psychology, Spanish, and Statistics from Sonoma State University. As a first-generation Bilingual American, Mr. Garcia has always held the belief that community is the strongest pillar for change. Before committing to a line of Social work, Mr. Garcia first began his earliest work as a community health youth intern for Latino Service Providers in where he developed a passion for non-profit work and empowering others to make their voices heard.
Since completing his Bachelor’s, Mr. Garcia has devoted his young professional career to supporting the newcomer population through services like academic counseling, case management, and resource linkages. Committed to the field, Mr. Garcia looks forward to completing their MSW in the hopes of one day becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. His work and advocacy in the field are just getting started.
