Esmeralda M. Garcia

Served on the HIV/AIDS Council, Marin County, as Co-President, and previously served on the Human Rights Commission of Marin County, and Board of Community Action Marin. Esmeralda first began her career in civic engagement with the American Red Cross in Westchester, New York. She has worked with many nationally known not-for-profits throughout her career and has gained invaluable experience in advocacy, community organizing, program development, and management.
Esmeralda was born in Chicago, Illinois raised in Brooklyn, New York, and as the oldest child in a family of three sisters developed a passion for social justice and being an agent for change. Holds a Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Healthcare Leadership from Borowsky School of Business–Dominican University of California. Lives in Marin County and enjoys spending time with family, volunteering, the gym, hiking, traveling, and learning.
