RUXNAQUIL 2.0

Ruxnaquil is a Mayan word that means holistic health. Health for the mind, body, spirit, and life. This training is for Indigenous healing practitioners and will provide a foundation for traditional Mayan healing practices. The focus of the series is to help participants develop a basic understanding of indigenous Mayan healing practices in support of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health so that participants can care for themselves, their family, and their community.

Classes will highlight the sciences and cultures of indigenous peoples, focusing on nawales (energies), as well as plant medicine, and will also incorporate music, ceremony, and the worldview of indigenous peoples. Class time will include reading, discussions, and hands on practice, including the making of plant medicines, field trips, ceremonies and activities related to the spirituality of indigenous peoples.
