Why a Career Fair?

For the past three years, TAY Radio has hosted the Career Fair after hearing directly from TAY youth about the need for greater representation, access to opportunity, and connection to career pathways in Marin. Youth from underrepresented communities consistently shared that they wanted to see themselves reflected in professional spaces and learn from individuals with shared lived experiences.

Building on this work, the Career Fair is now transitioning to the Youth and Family Services Department, where it will continue to expand and ensure that youth are equally served, supported, and connected to resources across Marin.

This transition allows the Career Fair to grow while staying rooted in the values of equity, access, and youth voice that originally shaped it.
