On today’s show, Santy Hernandez and Anali Reyes will talk about the history of the different holidays happening during the fourth week of December. The holidays that we will be talking about are Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, and boxing day. Some may sound familiar, and some might not.
We encourage the audience to learn more about these holidays’ history or origin because it can be fun learning new ideas everyday. As hosts, we have learned that the origin of Kwanzaa was created in a way to unite the community of African Americans in the aftermath of the deadly Watt rebellion and Hanukkah is a recognition of the resistance of Jews through their restriction of Judaism practice during the reign of Antiochus.
