Shelter in Place

On March 16, the public health officers of seven Bay Area jurisdictions, including Marin, issued a legal order directing residents to shelter at home for three weeks beginning March 17, until April 7, 2020 11:59PM. The order limits activity, travel, and business functions to only the most essential needs. To answer questions related to the Public Health Order, we created an extensive Q&A document(below) to help understand the order.

San Rafael School Lunches

During the school closure due to the Coronavirus(COVID-19), Nutrition Services will be serving meals at Bahia Vista School from 11:30-12:30 Monday through Friday. Meals will be served at the parking lot. Participants may drive through or walk up.

Social Distancing

Social distancing is a set of nonpharmaceutical infection control actions intended to stop or slow down the spread of a contagious disease. The objective of social distancing is to reduce the probability of contact between persons carrying an infection, and others who are not infected, so as to minimize disease transmission, morbidity and ultimately, mortality.
